- Yes yes yes,
-
- the last 'one-file' version worked ok!! :-)
-
- First reactions:
- - DEE sucks :)
- - Around 160*100 it was FAST (I guess constantly over 20 fps).
- - Horrible textures (with better ones, I promise it'll look ALOT
- better, esp if we have more 'diffuse' textures while running
- 'low-detail' mode. I think we have the chance here to
- show what a difference real 16 bit colour can do compared to
- 8 bit (or even that, as they need to have each colour in
- different brightness in doom on 256 colours.) And Jaguar Doom
- did, in my opinion NOT show the best possible of 16bit colour.
-
- Ideas:
- - As some people will prefer small screen to blocky pixels, it
- will be hard to do textures that look good with both (ie,
- very-much antialiased textures will make blocky pixels look
- alot better, while in normal pixelsize, it will not look as
- good). I suggest an option like "anti-alias" of the textures
- if wanted. Then we could draw everything very detailed, but
- easily have it smoothed out for blocky mode.
- An option like in Rainbow 2 would be great, were you can
- choose how much smoothed the picture should be.
-
- Anyone care to write a "smoot" routine? (Elias!!) ;)
